Our client, a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm, seeks a mid-level Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance group in Atlanta. The role offers exposure to sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions with a strong emphasis on private equity.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, Georgia bar admission in good standing, and 4–6 years of M&A experience, with proven ability to manage complex deal timelines and coordinating junior team members.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Georgia, in good standing.
• 4–6 years of substantive experience handling mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating equity and asset purchase agreements and related documents.
• Ability to manage complex deal timelines and coordination with junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions.
• Manage all phases of M&A deals from structuring to closing.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and ancillary transaction documents.
• Lead due diligence efforts and coordinate with junior attorneys.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and external advisors throughout the lifecycle.
