Job summary

Our client is a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm in Atlanta, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The Associate Attorney will join the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance practice, handling sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions with a strong emphasis on private equity deals.

The role requires 4–6 years of substantive M&A experience, a JD from a top-tier law school, and Georgia bar admission. Excellent drafting, negotiating, and client-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of substantive M&A and corporate transactions experience.
• Experience drafting equity and asset purchase agreements.
• Experience leading due diligence and coordinating with junior team members.
• Strong communication skills with clients and external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic corporate transactions.
• Manage all phases of M&A transactions from structuring to closing.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and ancillary documents.
• Lead and coordinate legal due diligence efforts with junior attorneys.
