Oregon Department of Justice, Child Advocacy and Protection Division in Portland, OR, seeks a seasoned Litigation Support Specialist (Office Specialist 1) to support section attorneys with daily litigation tasks and document management.

The role offers a hybrid schedule after onboarding, with up to one remote day, and a comprehensive benefits package; requires clerical experience, Notary license or ability to become, and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of general clerical experience including keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
• Notary Public commissioned in Oregon or able to become within 6 months.
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Process shared email folders containing discovery, court reports, and hearing information into electronic case management systems.
• Review docket reports and calendar related hearings.
• Open, close, and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
• Contact clients, agency staff, other agencies, or the members of the public (in person, writing, or by phone) to obtain necessary case information.
• Read, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
• Create, format, and proofread documents.
• Respond to requests for general information and provide explanations to visitors and clients.
• Maintain state cars.
• Order, distribute, and maintain inventory office supplies.
