Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte in Chicago seeks a Legal Practice Specialist to support multiple litigations, manage trial logistics, prepare subpoenas, and handle document review and scheduling. You will coordinate with attorneys, manage calendars, and oversee projects from conflict checks to client file creation.

The role requires five years of litigation experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Relativity, PACER/CM/ECF, Westlaw and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related legal work experience.
• Five (5) years of litigation experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Experience with litigation applications and research tools.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of trial preparation and logistics.
• Prepare subpoenas, scheduling stipulations, motions, and templates.
• Edit and proofread documents and correspondence for accuracy.
• Review prebills and assist billing with client accounts.
• Manage attorney calendars, email, and travel logistics.
• Organize and maintain client files and matter documents.
