Job summary
McDermott Will & Schulte LLP in Chicago is seeking a Legal Practice Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys within the Litigation Practice Group. The role requires a solutions-oriented mindset and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or related legal work experience, at least five years of litigation, and familiarity with court rules, PACER/CM/ECF, Relativity, Westlaw, Lexis, and File
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related legal work experience.
- Five (5) years of litigation experience.
- Knowledge of court rules and civil procedures in State and Federal jurisdictions.
- Working knowledge of Relativity, PACER, CM/ECF, Westlaw, Lexis, and File & ServeXpress preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of trial preparation and logistics.
- Assemble court filings and manage client files and matter numbers.
- Review and edit documents for accuracy and formatting.
- Manage attorney calendars, travel, and meeting logistics.
- Monitor deadlines and assist in prebills and expense reporting.
