Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte in Chicago seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all stages of litigation. You will aid in case management, draft and file documents, and coordinate discovery and trial logistics.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of paralegal experience in a mid-to-large firm or corporate setting, with strong knowledge of employment law and advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of paralegal experience in a mid-to-large law firm or corporation.
• Strong understanding of employment law, labor regulations, and workplace compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and PowerPoint skills; able to manage complex case files.

Responsibilities

• Organize, index and maintain case files and documents.
• Prepare legal documents, subpoenas, and case summaries for review.
• Assist with discovery, research, and cite-checking (Bluebooking).
• Coordinate trial logistics, exhibits, witnesses, and war room setup.
• Maintain docketing calendar and file post-trial submissions.
