Job summary
Benesch in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This hybrid role supports trial attorneys, manages large-scale discovery, and coordinates complex litigation from start to finish across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate has ABA-approved paralegal certification and 8+ years of AmLaw-level experience, with proficiency in CM/ECF, PACER, and trial technology. Travel and overtime may be required, with a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Paralegal certification (ABA-approved) required or preferred.
- 8+ years of litigation experience in AmLaw 150 or similar practice.
- Strong knowledge of federal court procedures and electronic filings (CM/ECF, PACER).
- Experience with e-filing portals and litigation tech tools.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of litigation from intake to trial.
- Coordinate discovery and e-discovery processes, including document handling.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and exhibits for court submissions.
- Manage case files and assist with trial preparation and witness coordination.
- Interact with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and vendors as needed.
