Job summary

Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for our New York office. The role supports trial attorneys on large, complex matters and requires strong e‑filing and discovery skills.

This hybrid position offers work-from-home flexibility and opportunities to impact high‑stakes litigation. You will coordinate with attorneys, manage discovery, prepare documents and exhibits, and help prep witnesses for depositions and trials.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification (ABA-approved) preferred.
• 8+ years of litigation experience in an AmLaw 150 firm or specialist litigation practice area.
• Experience with federal court procedures and electronic filings (CM/ECF, PACER).
• Experience with platforms such as One Legal, File & ServeXpress, Odyssey, Everlaw, Relativity, Trial Director, MS Office Suite.
• Must be available for overtime and travel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.
• Manage large-scale discovery and e-discovery matters.
• Provide hands-on operational litigation technology support (databases, OCR, reporting).
• Organize and maintain case files with automated procedures.
• Assist with depositions and trial prep, including exhibits and war rooms.
• Prepare for trials in state and federal court and manage trial support.
• Review and summarize depositions and witness affidavits.
• Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs.
• Perform legal and factual research.
• Interact with courts, government agencies, and vendors.
• Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff to meet billable goals.
