Job summary

Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff seeks a seasoned Litigation Paralegal in Chicago with a strong background in fast‑paced trials and complex litigation. You will support attorneys across all phases, manage large caseloads, and coordinate with courts, clients, and vendors.

Hybrid work arrangement available. The role requires 7–10 years of AmLaw 150 litigation experience, proficiency with e‑filing platforms (CM/ECF, PACER), and expert organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification (ABA-approved) and 7–10 years of AmLaw 150 firm litigation experience.
• Experience with all stages of litigation including intake, discovery and trial.
• Proficient with e‑filing portals and relevant court procedures (CM/ECF, PACER).

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.
• Manage large-scale discovery and e‑discovery, including preservation, collection and production.
• Provide hands-on trial tech support with database creation, image import, data searches and reporting.
• Organize and maintain case files using automated procedures.
• Prepare for depositions and court appearances, assembling case files and evidence.
• Coordinate trial support, exhibits, war rooms and travel as needed.
• Review and summarize depositions and manage witness affidavits.
• Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs; perform legal and factual research.
• Coordinate with courts, government agencies, outside counsel, vendors and clients.
• Act as liaison between case team attorneys and support staff; meet billable goals.
