Job summary

Foley & Mansfield PLLP in Chicago, IL is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support a busy trial team. The role combines case management from intake through trial with hybrid work and one in-office day per week.

You will handle document processing, discovery review, trial exhibits, and communication with experts, while billing time and maintaining databases within the firm’s Case Management System. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Asbestos, Toxic Tort, Products Liability, or Personal Injury experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle large volume of work.
• Ability to attend trials, both locally and nationally.
• Experience with trial war room and trial support a plus.
• Excellent communication skills a must.
• Knowledge of medical terms or experience in the medical field a plus.
• This is a hybrid position, with 1 in office day per week.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of cases assigned from initial intake to trial.
• Responsible for retaining, providing information, scheduling calls and testimony, and maintaining relationships with experts.
• Maintaining client extranet and various databases with pertinent information.
• Entering information into Case Management System and saving/filing in the firm’s electronic repository.
• Review and summarize discovery in each case, including medical, military, and employment records.
• Assist with preparing motions and exhibits.
• Manage trial related documents and exhibits; preparing Trial Notebooks and document productions as needed.
• Attend trials and support trial team as needed.
• Bill time for work completed daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
