Job summary

The Learning and Development Specialist at DSHS supports leadership development and competency-based training across the organization. Reporting to the Curriculum Designer and Manager, you will design, deliver, and refresh learning experiences that align with agency priorities and Adult Learning Theory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, HR, social or organizational sciences or related field and three years of HR experience, including change consulting.
• Equivalent education or experience accepted.
• Experience designing and delivering training for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accessible and inclusive learning and development opportunities using multiple modalities.
• Design, create, and update lesson plans, handbooks, assessments, and trainer guides.
• Lead meetings and virtual sessions to facilitate knowledge transfer with subject matter experts.
• Provide organizational change management and instructional design guidance to management and staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop training aligned with priorities.
