Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer – Substation for the Lake Mary, FL area. This role provides technical leadership for substation electrical (physical) design, guiding internal and contract resources on projects including modifications, expansions, or new substations in Florida.

The Lead Engineer operates at an expert level, solving complex problems with minimal supervision, mentoring engineers, and coordinating across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering and PE licensure.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• MS in Engineering may substitute for BS.
