Job summary

VCU Human Resources seeks a Leave Administration Supervisor to manage leave programs (FMLA, STD, parental, etc.) and supervise two Leave Administration Analysts, guiding performance and career development.

You will coordinate with HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and other teams to ensure compliance, timely payroll processing, policy interpretation, and continuous process improvement while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, professionalism, and accurate payroll deadline adherence.
• Ability to interpret policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and oral communication in standard business English.
• Experience with leave administration and benefit programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two Leave Administration Analysts and provide performance guidance.
• Direct daily operations to meet semi-monthly payroll deadlines.
• Interpret and implement VCU leave policies and procedures.
• Lead process-improvement projects with central HR and automate workflows.
• Oversee payroll tasks for employees on various leave programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee medical documentation.
