Job summary

Citi seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to own on-premise infrastructure for critical financial applications within GFT Accounting, Controls and Ledger. You will architect and sustain highly available, secure systems and mentor engineers in a global financial setting.

The role emphasises automation, observability, and collaboration with application teams to ensure disaster recovery readiness and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of infrastructure engineering or DevOps experience.
• Expert-level Linux server administration for production systems.
• Proficient in SQL querying and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain on-premise Linux environments for critical apps.
• Lead the full infrastructure lifecycle from design to handover to support.
• Architect storage solutions (NAS, SAN, ScaleIO, S3) with proper access controls.
• Engineer middleware (Tomcat/WebSphere) with HA sizing and tuning.
• Implement disaster recovery plans and monitoring/observability tooling (AppDynamics).
• Write and optimize SQL queries; support database environments.
• Manage certificates, security configurations, and vulnerability response.
• Utilize GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot) and IaC (Ansible) for automation.
• Mentor engineers and document configurations and procedures.
