Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Lead Fabrication Follow-Up Engineer at its Rock Hill, SC facility. The role interfaces between APX Supply Chain and Engineering to provide technical guidance, manage documentation, and maintain schedule compliance for critical components.

The position offers hybrid work with on-site collaboration and reports to the AP1000 HVAC and BOP Fluid Systems Manager. The candidate will lead engineering reviews, coordinate multi-team efforts, mentor staff, review

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related manufacturing discipline.
• 8+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to communicate across multicultural teams and time zones.
• Strong leadership and people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate review and approval of engineering documents with Engineering.
• Serve as primary interface across internal engineers, supply chain and management.
• Address high-level technical questions on design and fabrication topics.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams to keep program progress.
• Mentor and develop team members to elevate capability.
• Provide escalation support to engineering and leadership.
• Review supplier technical proposals against project requirements.
• Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions.
• Manage WPRO document workflows and ensure strong document control.
• Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers for compliance.
