The position reports to the Piping Engineering Manager and offers a hybrid work arrangement at Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC, with a base salary

Qualifications

Lead crossfunctional workstreams and adjust priorities to meet programs.
Mentor and develop team members to improve capability.
Provide escalation support to APX engineering and leadership.
Review supplier's technical proposals against project requirements.
Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions to resolution.
Manage WPRO document workflows and reinforce document control discipline.
Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers for compliance and traceability.

About the role

As a Lead Fabrication Follow-Up Engineer you will interface between APX Supply Chain and Engineering while providing technical guidance and resolving issues to keep manufacturing on schedule. You will lead the engineering teams in their reviews and route WPRO documentation, ensuring accurate workflow actions, and collaborate closely with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to maintain technical compliance and document control throughout the PO lifecycle. Your role will ensure seamless coordination across teams to support timely, compliant delivery of critical components.

You will report to the Piping Engineering Manager and be located at Cranberry Township PA or Rock Hill SC. This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the review and approval of engineering documents/drawings through Engineering.
Serve as a primary interface across internal engineers at all levels, supply chain, management, maintaining clear and effective communication channels.
Field highlevel technical questions on design and fabrication topics, providing timely, accurate guidance.
Lead and coordinate crossfunctional workstreams, adjusting priorities as needed to maintain progress against shifting program objectives.
Mentor, train, and develop new and growing team members to elevate overall team capability and technical proficiency.
Provide escalation support to APX engineering and leadership, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues impacting FFE activities.
Review supplier's technical proposals against project requirements.
Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions to resolution.
Manage WPRO document workflows-executing Forward, Bypass, or Transfer actions-while reinforcing strong document control discipline.
Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to ensure technical compliance, document traceability, and seamless execution throughout the PO and manufacturing lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Mechanical preferred).
Minimum 8 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
Experience managing engineering teams.
Organize and delegate work and ensure that you complete deliverables on time with high quality.
Experience making presentations.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
