Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop and support nuclear power plant design modifications and evaluations. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on BOP systems, power uprates, and advanced nuclear technologies, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of Nuclear Plant Mechanical Engineering.

The role is hybrid, located at the Rock Hill facility with both on-site and remote days, and relocation assistance is not

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical (or related) engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the power industry, preferably nuclear.
• Ability to work in an international team environment and travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop design change packages following design processes for US and international nuclear plants.
• Support engineering reports for power uprates in the BOP area.
• Resolve technical issues at operating nuclear plants and participate in multi-discipline teams.
• Apply ASME and ANSI engineering codes & standards to design, analysis, and evaluation.
