Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Welding Engineer to support welding requirements for nuclear plant fabrication, erection, and maintenance. You will report to the Lead Engineer – Welding Technologies in a hybrid role with 2 days on-site at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA.
You will help develop welding specifications, review drawings and PQR/WPS documentation, and ensure compliance with ASME and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Welding Eng Tech, or related field.
- 0+ years of experience as a Welding Engineer or related role.
- Knowledge of welding symbols and ability to read drawings and prints.
- Knowledge of applicable welding standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review contract, design, and regulatory requirements to develop welding specifications.
- Review weld maps, detail drawings, PQRs and WPSs to ensure conformance.
- Support fab-follow activities for AP1000 systems, structures, and components.
- Participate in constructability and design reviews to develop Westinghouse technologies.
- Provide input to weld design and related documentation; maintain welding specifications.
