Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Manhattan, NY office. You will collaborate with learning leaders to develop, deliver, and assess training across professional, technical, leadership, and onboarding topics.

You will design customized learning experiences, facilitate sessions, coordinate multiple initiatives, and create engaging content with internal and external experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree in organizational development, organizational psychology, or related field is a plus.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in learning and development or related field.
• Experience designing or delivering learning programs in professional effectiveness, written communication, manager development, onboarding, or financial/technical skills.
• Interest in generative AI (GAI) and its application to learning and development.
• Ability to quickly research and synthesize information and communicate clearly.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with learning leaders to develop, deliver, and assess training across professional, technical, leadership, and onboarding topics.
• Design customized learning experiences using workshops, coaching, simulations, guides, and blended formats.
• Facilitate training sessions aligned with business needs and learner goals.
• Coordinate multiple learning initiatives, managing timelines, stakeholders, and project execution from planning through delivery.
• Create engaging content and resources in partnership with subject matter experts.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and gather insights to improve outcomes and experiences.
• Research emerging AI trends and identify opportunities to enhance learning design and organizational impact.
