Job summary

Citi is seeking a Java Microservices Developer to design, build, and evolve distributed backend systems powering global financial services. You will architect cloud-native Java microservices using Spring Boot and Kafka to deliver reliable, scalable platforms.

Work alongside product managers, architects, and engineers to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions. Responsibilities include implementing API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker patterns, and deploying

Qualifications

6–10 years hands-on Java development with JDK 8+.
Production microservices experience with Spring Boot.
Experience building RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging.
Familiarity with microservices patterns: API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Service Discovery.
Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments; Git and Agile methods.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve distributed backend systems powering global financial services.
Architect cloud-native Java microservices using Spring Boot and Kafka.
Implement API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Circuit Breaker patterns for resilience.
Optimize data access with Spring Data JPA and relational databases.
