Citi's Banking Technology team is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to play a central role in a global digital transformation for institutional banking products. You will design, build, and mentor within a microservices architecture, using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

This hands-on role emphasizes architecture, standards, and collaboration across 100+ countries, with a strong focus on engineering craft and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands‑on software development experience focusing on Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST API design.
• Advanced proficiency with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) including schema, tuning, and procedures.
• Strong OO design skills and modular, testable code across complex systems.
• Experience designing and delivering microservices architectures with best practices.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and Jira in collaborative teams.
• Understanding of SDLC practices, testing, and architecture fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver full stack features end‑to‑end using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Architect and implement microservices‑based solutions.
• Develop and optimise complex database logic across MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Lead code and design reviews to uphold technical standards.
• Create design artefacts to support clear communication.
