Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD seeks a Computer Systems Technician to support executive leadership and maintain end-user computing environments in the Philadelphia area.

You will set up desktops, install software, respond to Help Desk tickets, collaborate with programming/DBA teams, and help document processes. The role offers a hybrid schedule, strong benefits, and opportunities to grow within a trusted Berkshire Hathaway-backed company.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Windows OS and Office productivity suites.
• Laptop/desktop configuration and troubleshooting/diagnostics of hardware and software.
• New user setup and software installation.
• A service-delivery friendly and positive attitude.
• Both experienced and entry-level candidates should apply.
• Strong training program for individuals with a passion for technology who are looking to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with Executive Management Team for IT support
• Set up and image employee desktops and laptops
• Install software and hardware for telephony platform migration
• Respond to Help Desk requests for IT issues
• Document, prioritize, and track requests in the IT Help Desk system
• Coordinate setup of new employee resources
• Diagnose hardware and software problems
• Document systems, processes, and procedures
• Interact with Programming/DBA teams daily
• Install/configure new computers and phones
• Install software, patches, and rollups to end-user workstations
• Troubleshoot printers, scanners, copiers
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
