Job summary

LegalSight LLC is seeking a hands-on IT Systems Engineer to own and automate Microsoft 365 and Windows environments in the United States. You will lead governance posture, implement Purview, and develop repeatable, hands-off workflows to improve security and consistency.

The role emphasizes ownership, rapid problem-solving, and collaboration across identity, endpoints, and data governance teams. Prior in-office work may be required in our Ocean City, NJ vicinity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years administering Windows and Microsoft 365 environments with ownership of systems.
• Ability to lead by doing while mentoring teammates.
• Bias for automation to reduce repetitive work and enable self-service.
• Comfort using PowerShell and Graph API to automate tasks.
• Hands-on Purview knowledge: information protection, retention and encryption concepts.
• SharePoint Online administration experience and governance.
• Strong Entra ID/Azure AD fundamentals including MFA and conditional access.
• Windows endpoint and device management with Intune/MDM and GPOs.
• Clear written communication and ability to document configurations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and harden Microsoft 365 tenant end to end: Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
• Own data governance and compliance tooling in Purview: labels, retention, DLP, eDiscovery, encryption config.
• Automate recurring admin tasks using PowerShell, Graph, Power Automate, and runbooks.
• Manage Windows systems including imaging, patching, and policy configuration.
• Resolve cross-system issues involving SharePoint, external storage, and identity edges.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and procedures for team-wide maintainability.
