Job summary

Rackson Restaurants in Stamford, CT is seeking a hands-on IT Support Technician to keep our restaurant technology running across locations. You will be the first contact for hardware, software, network, and POS issues, with a split role involving remote diagnostics and time in stores for on-site support.

You should understand how a restaurant operates during a lunch rush, be able to triage effectively, and work with store teams to implement fixes and improve systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in on-site and remote computer support.
• Experience with POS software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Direct restaurant experience (QSR or fast-casual) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for hardware and software requests across stores and offices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or guide users remotely.
• Record problems and resolutions in the ticketing system and follow up.
• Train store personnel on restaurant technology and on-call support.
• Triage by impact during rush hours.
• Understand order lifecycle and system ownership of each step.
• Translate operational pain points into technical fixes.
• Support store systems like labor tools, cash handling hardware, and POS.
• Recommend process and configuration improvements.
