Job summary

John Boos & Co. in Effingham, IL is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide frontline IT support across office and manufacturing environments. You will troubleshoot end-user issues, manage Windows and 365 services, and assist with manufacturing technology and infrastructure projects.

The role involves working with printers, networks, and SharePoint, with opportunities to contribute to Power BI reports and data workflows. A degree in IT or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Networking or equivalent experience.
• Experience in technical support, desktop support, or IT operations preferred.
• Manufacturing IT experience beneficial but not required.
• Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for end-user technology issues and requests.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral problems.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and mobile devices.
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and replace computer hardware and software.
