Job summary

april is seeking an IT Specialist to support and maintain internal systems that keep our team productive and secure. From user access and device management to troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, you’ll be the go-to resource for on-demand support and smooth onboarding for new hires and contractors.

This temporary, full-time role runs from December 2026 to May 2027 with potential to convert to FTE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT roles.
• Hands-on experience administering macOS devices through an MDM platform.
• Experience with identity providers and SSO.
• Experience setting up and supporting video conferencing and meeting-room systems.
• Ability to work independently across time zones and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide help desk support for US-based employees.
• Own onboarding and offboarding for US-based employees, including equipment procurement, desk setup, and user provisioning.
• Administer user access and devices across our identity provider, SSO, and MDM platform in a macOS environment.
• Assist with security operations, including first-line EDR alert triage and evidence collection for SOC 1/2 compliance.
• Maintain clear documentation for systems and processes.
