Job summary

Altarum is seeking an IT Service Desk professional to join a hybrid team in Novi, MI, supporting both Windows and macOS environments, printers, and mobile devices. The role involves on-site and remote assistance for staff, with opportunities to lead training on Microsoft 365 apps.

You will deploy macOS devices via MDM (Intune/Jamf/Kandji), enforce security baselines, and manage Entra ID sign-in. Apple ACSP certification must be obtained within six months of start date.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of Tier 1/2 desktop support in a mixed Windows and macOS environment.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting MacBooks using MDM (Jamf, Kandji or Intune).
• Ability to manage Entra ID sign-in, device enrollment, and patch/compliance workflows.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira, Autotask or Freshservice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 desktop support for Windows PCs and MacBooks, including peripherals.
• Deploy and manage macOS devices via MDM and Apple Business Manager enrollment.
• Apply security baselines; manage FileVault and BitLocker; perform patching and AV updates.
• Support remote staff and on-site calls, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Create knowledge base articles and contribute to training for Microsoft 365 apps.
• Collaborate with Windows and Network teams for cross-platform consistency.
• Maintain outages recovery documentation and support on-call rotations.
