Job summary

VETRO FiberMap, Inc. in Portland, ME seeks an IT Manager to oversee internal helpdesk, user access, and IT operations for both remote and on-site staff. You will lead onboarding/offboarding, SOC-2 compliance, and IT projects to scale the organization.

Key duties include endpoint management (Mac/Windows), SaaS governance, conferencing (Zoom Rooms), asset inventory, and process improvements. Hybrid role with competitive salary and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• Mac and Windows endpoint management using MDM tools (JumpCloud preferred).
• GSuite/Google Workspace administration including provisioning, security settings, and group management.
• Familiarity with Zoom Rooms hardware/software for video conferencing and events.
• Solid knowledge of MacOS and Windows OS, basic networking, and common office software.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to collaborate across technical levels.
• Analytical problem-solving; able to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software efficiently.
• Detail-oriented approach to asset, account, and documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal helpdesk support for Mac and Windows hardware, software, and peripherals for remote and in-office staff.
• Manage internal user access rights and SaaS subscriptions, ensuring proper licensing and governance.
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding, including setting up user accounts, provisioning hardware, and revoking access.
• Maintain office workstations, peripherals, and networking equipment to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Maintain conferencing and A/V equipment and support events to ensure high-quality presentations.
• Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
• Gather evidence and enforce IT policies to meet SOC-2 requirements in collaboration with security/compliance teams.
• Regularly review and improve IT processes; lead discreet projects to scale (e.g., HRIS migration, email domain changes).
