EEI, an employee-owned company based in Colorado, seeks an IT Manager to build and lead its internal technology function, partnering with leadership to scale securely and efficiently. You will oversee systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, while driving AI adoption, governance, and process improvements. Local hybrid in Lakewood, CO; salary range listed below.

You will guide technology investments, optimize vendor relationships, and strengthen employee tech support as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise technology environments.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technology initiatives, vendors, resources, or support teams.
• Experience overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud-based platforms, and business applications.
• Experience managing third-party technology providers, consultants, and vendor relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint management, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute EEI's technology strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth initiatives.
• Serve as the primary internal technology advisor to leadership regarding systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational technology needs.
• Lead EEI’s internal technology strategy and operations, strengthening systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, vendor partnerships, and employee support as the organization grows.
• Build scalable technology processes and future IT team capabilities while driving projects, AI adoption, change management, and cross-functional improvements that enhance efficiency, security, and the employee experience.
• Serve as the primary liaison between EEI and external technology providers, consultants, and managed service partners.
• Establish service expectations, accountability measures, and performance standards for technology vendors while identifying opportunities to optimize vendor relationships and increase internal capability and ownership.
• Coordinate issue resolution, escalation management, and continuous improvement efforts with external technology partners.
• Review and manage software subscriptions, support agreements, licensing, and technology contracts.
