Job summary

The Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) in Wisconsin offers a hybrid Desktop Support Specialist role based in Madison. This full-time position requires working from the Madison Hill Farms State Office Building at least 4 days per week with telework possible within Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, technical support, asset handling, and collaboration with IT operations.

Qualifications

• Consulting with business partners for technical support and process improvements.
• Coordinating and leading IT teams during incidents and projects.
• Supporting Windows desktops, printers, and devices in a remote/hybrid environment.
• Experience with ITSM tools for incident management and asset tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support and consultation for customers and teams.
• Receive assets, stage equipment, and perform build/image activities.
• Update asset management system to reflect work performed and disposition assets.
• Install and maintain PC hardware/software and troubleshoot network/peripherals.
• Assist project managers with on-site support and IT policy implementation.
