Job summary

Lola Blankets is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Analyst to own the end-to-end import program, booking, tracking, costing, and receiving shipments from vendor to warehouse. This hands-on role requires coordinating with vendors, freight forwarders, ERP costing, and warehouse teams to keep data accurate and inventories tight.

You will manage customs, documentation, and carrier performance, building auditable records and robust processes as Lola scales.

Qualifications

• Experience managing FOB ocean freight imports and coordinating with production vendors to 3PL warehouses.
• Fluent with US customs entry, HTS classification, and duty calculation, and broker coordination.
• Ability to build new processes and records infrastructure during a shift from DDP to FOB.
• Strong ERP experience, including costing and scheduling/date-tracking modules.
• Proven vendor and forwarder relationship management with minimal hand-holding.
• Attention to detail and reconciliation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Lola Planning/Production and vendors on production WIP, cargo ready dates, and freight pickups.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors on all shipping-related questions.
• Book and approve shipping routes and rates with freight forwarders.
• Review and approve forwarder invoices against contracted rates; flag and resolve discrepancies.
• Track containers in transit and proactively communicate delays, issues, or routing changes.
• Manage forwarder performance — on-time rate, invoice accuracy, responsiveness — and hold them accountable.
• Work with our customs broker to confirm correct import details and documentation.
• Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation for every import PO and a master shipment register.
• Ensure duty paid matches declared value and resolve any discrepancies with the broker.
• Own accurate date and schedule tracking in the ERP for ETA and container delivery dates.
• Partner with Planning/Production to ensure accurate landed cost in the ERP for every PO.
• Reconcile ERP records against actual invoices and duty paid; resolve discrepancies with accounting.
• Coordinate receiving schedules with the warehouse ahead of container arrival.
• Process receipt of inbound containers: confirm quantity and condition against PO.
• Partner with the Operations Manager to resolve receiving issues as they come up.
• Run daily inventory reconciliation processes, elevate and help resolve discrepancies, and support cycle counts.
