Job summary

Logixs Search is seeking an Ocean Import Specialist to manage inbound ocean shipments from booking through final delivery. You will handle FCL and LCL imports end-to-end and keep customers updated on status.

The role requires 3+ years in ocean import, knowledge of US customs clearance and ISF, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and experience with a TMS such as CargoWise or Magaya. This is a hybrid role in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ocean import experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC or 3PL.
• Solid knowledge of US import processes, including customs clearance, ISF, and port and terminal operations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments at once.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and partners.
• Experience with a TMS or freight forwarding system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage FCL and LCL ocean import shipments end to end, from origin booking to delivery
• Track vessels and containers, and keep customers updated on ETAs, delays and exceptions
• Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers and drayage providers
• Prepare and check shipping documents: bills of lading, commercial invoices, arrival notices and ISF filings
• Manage demurrage, detention and per diem, and resolve issues before they turn into costs
• Work with pricing and sales to support quotes and keep key accounts happy
