Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. invites students to join a structured internship program in Alpharetta, GA, to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry.

You will work with the MidCorp Middle Market Solutions underwriting team on risk assessments, pricing evaluations and relationship management. You will learn underwriting concepts, catastrophe modeling, and governance guidelines, while developing Excel skills and professional networking.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing studies in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Business, Accounting, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Current Junior or Senior with graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to network at events.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist with risk assessments, pricing evaluations, and relationship management for the MidCorp MSU underwriting team.
• Support underwriting and evaluation of Natural Catastrophe Accumulation and catastrophe modeling interpretations.
• Learn underwriting concepts in line with LoB governance, guidelines and principles.
• Learn and use risk selection and pricing tools.
• Support policy documentation and administration.
• Assist with completion of policy administration and credit control processes.
