Job summary

You will engage with various coverage areas, complete financial analyses, and participate in division previews and benchmarking projects. The program runs June 2, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) in New York City.

Qualifications

• Actively completing an area of study in Risk Management & Insurance, Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level - current Junior or Senior student, with graduation dates ranging from December 2027 - May 2028.
• Strong proficiency in understanding financial statements.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical skillset, with a keen ability to think through issues.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and continuous learning.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and pricing of new business under guidance of experienced underwriters.
• Gain exposure to Directors and Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Kidnap and Ransom, and Cyber Insurance.
• Complete financial and exposure analysis across the portfolio.
• Participate in division-specific underwriting previews of accounts.
• Contribute to benchmarking and ad hoc projects as appropriate.
• Assist in Digital Submission projects and File Audit Compliance initiatives.
• Complete claims review.
• Represent Arch professionally at internal and external industry events.
