Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago, IL is seeking a Corporate Communications Operations Specialist. You will support enablement, delivery and administration of enterprise internal communications channels across platforms, publish content, maintain tools, provide user support and training, and develop reporting to measure engagement.

Hybrid work model; you will collaborate across Technology, Workplace Services, HR, and business teams to improve processes, user experience and channel effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of internal communications channels, publishing platforms, and email distribution systems.
• Experience supporting intranet, newsletters, digital signage or related platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer support skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and related communications tech.
• Experience creating/editing visual assets using Figma or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze engagement data and translate insights into actions.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal communications platforms, tools, and delivery processes.
• Publish, edit, and distribute content across multiple channels.
• Provide user training, technical support, and troubleshooting for communications tech.
• Produce recurring corporate newsletters with formatting and QA.
• Create/resize visual assets with design tools like Figma.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align materials with brand standards.
• Maintain content resources, templates, and repositories.
• Analyze engagement metrics and report on performance.
