Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Integrated Communications Specialist in the Chicago area. This individual contributor will assist with planning, writing, editing, and measuring communications for external audiences across owned, earned, paid and shared channels.

You will work with a team across businesses to craft concise messaging, support media outreach, and manage multiple projects with leadership updates.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or equivalent with communications/marketing focus.
• Experience in communications programs, media relations and writing.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit external content: press releases, talking points, media statements.
• Develop, implement and measure integrated communication plans.
• Identify media opportunities; pitch development and inquiries.
• Coordinate media training and briefing materials for executives.
• Manage multiple projects with status updates to leadership.
• Monitor industry trends and inform media relations strategies.
• Collaborate with SMEs to craft clear messaging.
• Track communications performance and report results.
• Update communications resources and guidelines.
• Build knowledge of insurance concepts across business areas.
