Job summary

GHD is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Editor/Writer with 4+ years of experience to support infrastructure projects in California, Washington, or Arizona. You will edit specifications, reports, and proposals, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and client-focused communication.

This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration three days a week with flexible remote work. You’ll partner with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to organize information and maintain documentation standards

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical writing experience in infrastructure or construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in English or Engineering related field.
• Experience editing specifications, reports, proposals, and client-facing documents.
• Proficiency with Word/Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, SharePoint, SpecLink or SpecsIntact.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Edit technical specifications for clarity, consistency, grammar and formatting.
• Apply client, company and project formatting standards to deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and staff to collect input and track edits.
• Draft, edit and revise technical content for proposals and reports under supervision.
• Support document accessibility and compliance efforts.
