Job summary

GHD is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Editor/Writer to support the development of clear, accurate, and professional technical documents for infrastructure projects. You will edit specifications, reports, proposals, and other deliverables in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and technical teams.

This role can be located in CA, WA or AZ offices. The position offers a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration three days a week with flexible scheduling, and requires 4+

Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction specifications and client-facing documents.
• Strong grammar, proofreading, editing, and document organization.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Bluebeam and SharePoint is a plus.
• Interest in engineering, construction, or infrastructure terminology.
• Ability to collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit technical specifications for clarity, grammar, and formatting.
• Apply standards to documents including reports, proposals, and forms.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and staff to collect input and track edits.
• Draft and revise technical content for proposals and project communications.
• Support accessibility and digital compliance through document checks and revisions.
• Conduct quality reviews before client delivery.
• Assist with document control, version tracking, and recordkeeping.
