Job summary

GHD is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Editor/Writer to develop clear, accurate technical documents for infrastructure projects. The role involves editing specifications, reports, proposals, and other deliverables in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and technical teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years of experience in technical writing/editing, strong grammar and organization skills, and proficiency with Word, Acrobat, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience with technical writing, editing, document production, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Specification Editing: Review and edit technical specifications for clarity, grammar, and formatting.
• Document Standards and Formatting: Apply client and project standards to reports, proposals, and deliverables.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and staff to collect input and track revisions.
• Technical Writing and Editing: Draft, edit, and revise content for proposals and project communications.
• Accessibility and Document Compliance: Support accessibility and digital compliance efforts.
• Quality Review: Check documents for spelling, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
• Document Control Support: Assist with revisions, file organization, and version tracking.
