Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Identity Security Operations in Seattle. You will own the end-to-end identity security operations for enterprise platforms including Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, SailPoint and BeyondTrust.

You will lead managers, engineers, and analysts across onshore, offshore, and contingent staff, setting the operating model and multi-year roadmap while driving automation to reduce toil and risk.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in identity and access management, information security, or IT operations
• 7+ years leading teams or owning a function
• Deep operational ownership of enterprise identity platforms at scale
• Strong command of authentication & authorization fundamentals (SSO, MFA, SAML, OIDC, OAuth)
• Experience with ITIL-aligned operations and audit/compliance programs

Responsibilities

• Own Identity Security Operations strategy, operating model, staffing, budget, and multi-year roadmap
• Lead through managers and senior contributors to build bench strength
• Set and maintain operational excellence: SLAs, KPIs, and executive reporting
• Oversee major incident command, problem management, and change governance
• Own access lifecycle operations at scale: joiner/mover/leaver, provisioning, MFA, access reviews
• Drive automation and toil reduction to self-service capabilities
• Define transition-to-operations standards with Identity Engineering & Build
• Manage vendor, MSP relationships, renewals, and service delivery
• Represent identity operations in audits and regulatory engagements (PCI-DSS)
• Communicate decisions clearly to engineers and executives
