Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, computer science, or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business or HR/Payroll consultation, process improvement or requirement gathering in an information technology, payroll, or HRIS environment.
• Experience with benefits administration, system reporting, and payroll deductions within an HRIS environment.
• Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate policies and regulations to HBRs and employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary consultant to Agency HR Benefits Specialists to administer state-wide benefits.
• Provide accurate benefits enrollment processing, problem resolution, and system support.
• Prepare benefits participation and eligibility reports and summarize patterns for state agencies.
• Develop training materials and conduct webinars for benefits enrollment processes and system functionality.
• Test new HR-Payroll system features and assist with vendor enrollment/eligibility audits.
