Job summary

The Office of the State Controller is seeking a State HRIS/Payroll Analyst I (NS) to support the BEST Shared Services Benefits team. The analyst will interpret benefit policies, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate enrollment and payroll deductions using SAP and the Integrated HR-Payroll System.

The role involves solving complex benefits issues, generating reports, and developing training materials for Contact Center staff and new HRB specialists. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of enrollment and eligibility policies for state-wide benefits.
• Experience with benefits administration, system reporting, and payroll deductions in an HRIS.
• Ability to interpret and communicate policies to HBRs and employees.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Administer state-wide benefits for HBRs and employees.
• Process leave, health plan enrollments, retirement, and other benefits issues.
• Update enrollment records and reconcile vendor invoices.
• Prepare reports and conduct webinars/trainings for staff on benefits processing.
