Job summary

Cushing Terrell seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the day-to-day HR contact for managers, project teams, and staff within a client group. This hybrid or in-office role collaborates with the Senior HR Manager on coaching, development, and compliance across states.

You will support performance cycles, handle employee relations, onboarding, and data reporting while aligning HR processes with project-based staffing and growth through acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple states.
• Knowledge of performance management, employee relations and onboarding.
• Familiarity with federal employment law and multi-state compliance.
• Discretion with confidential information.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees in your client group.
• Support the performance management cycle and related processes.
• Guide managers on feedback, documentation, and development conversations.
• Handle routine employee relations matters with empathy and discretion; support investigations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations on hiring and onboarding; conduct stay and exit interviews.
• Support integration of employees from acquired firms and Day 1 onboarding.
• Pull and summarize ADP Workforce Now reports; maintain accurate employee data.
• Support multi-state compliance and internal mobility.
