Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a detail-oriented HR Support Specialist to join our HR Systems and Strategic Operations team. The role focuses on accurate processing of time-sensitive employment records and payroll scheduling to ensure efficiency across departments.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor's degree with related experience, familiarity with HRIS tools, and strong knowledge of Texas reporting standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree plus one year of experience OR a combination of education and related experience totaling five years.
• Experience with HRIS and high-volume electronic employee record keeping.
• Experience in State of Texas reporting and compliance.
• Experience with Banner and Cognos systems.

Responsibilities

• Serves as HR SSO approver and applier for personnel records (ePAF) and ensures payroll schedules are met for maximum efficiency.
• Researches issues based on TTUHSC policy and Texas state procedures.
• Resolves HRIS data discrepancies and payroll errors; assists with HRIS reporting.
• Audits records and ensures completeness for new hires; supports benefits/records processes.
