Job summary

USIC is seeking a Compliance Coordinator in Indianapolis for coordinating pre-employment background checks and drug testing. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with hybrid in-office and remote work, supporting the talent acquisition team and maintaining accurate records in Workday.

You will monitor reports, verify PII, contact candidates for information, and escalate issues as needed while ensuring compliance with laws and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Monitor shared inbox for background check reports and review within 48 hours.
• Review background checks and drug tests for discrepancies or compliance issues.
• Correspond with candidates to request additional information as needed.
• Verify personally identifiable information for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain records in shared tracking spreadsheets and in Workday (HRIS).
• Initiate and process additional background check screening packages as needed.
• Assist with rescheduling and troubleshooting drug screens as needed.
• Escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with talent acquisition on updates or concerns for delayed/scrutinized screenings.
• Generate reports and manage data within Workday (HRIS).
• Ensure adherence to employment laws related to pre-employment checks.
• Provide other support to the pre-employment screening team as assigned.
