USIC is seeking a Compliance Coordinator in Indianapolis for coordinating pre-employment background checks and drug testing. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with hybrid in-office and remote work, supporting the talent acquisition team and maintaining accurate records in Workday.
You will monitor reports, verify PII, contact candidates for information, and escalate issues as needed while ensuring compliance with laws and timely processing.
Location: 9045 River Road, Indianapolis, IN 46240
Hybrid schedule – Mondays and Fridays remote; Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays in office

The Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in administering and coordinating the pre-employment background check and drug testing processes, ensuring a timely, compliant, and positive candidate experience. Key responsibilities include monitoring background checks and drug tests for completion, coordinating directly with candidates to collect additional information when needed, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a point of contact for candidates during the pre-employment screening phase of the hiring process. Importantly, this role does not make employment eligibility or adjudication decisions related to background checks, drug tests, or other pre-employment screenings. Instead, the coordinator facilitates the screening process and escalates results requiring review to the appropriate team members. The ideal candidates has exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both candidates and internal team members, while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
