Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our expanding HR team in a newly created role in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, with hands-on exposure to recruiting, benefits administration, leave administration and employee relations.

The position supports a fast-paced, professional environment and serves as a primary point of contact for employees, partnering with HR leadership on complex matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
• Prior experience in a law firm or financial services environment is required.
• Hands-on experience with: Benefits administration; Leave administration; Employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition, including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, and onboarding.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and concerns.
• Support employee relations matters within the scope of the role and escalate complex issues to HR management.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including inquiries, enrollment, and coordination with providers.
• Manage and coordinate leave administration, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Assist with HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
• Partner with HR leadership on various HR initiatives and special projects.
• Assist with compliance-related HR activities; training on compliance component.
