Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior HR Generalist for our client, a well-established industrial company in Welkom, Free State, ZA. You will drive employee relations, recruitment, policy development, and performance management in a hybrid work setting that combines on-site presence and remote work.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in HR or related field and at least 7 years in generalist HR, including senior responsibilities. Strong SA labour law knowledge and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of generalist HR experience, with senior exposure.
• Experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR policy development.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compensation.
• Develop, implement, and administer HR policies and procedures.
• Manage and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
• Support performance appraisal processes and talent development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS.
• Advise management on HR best practices and employee-related issues.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement efforts within the department.
