Job summary

Metal Powder Works is building its first dedicated HR function with a part-time hybrid role based in Clinton, PA.

Lead full-cycle recruiting across production, engineering and operations, create job postings, source candidates, and run structured interviews.

You will manage background checks, onboarding to day 90, and support payroll in ADP, while partnering with local schools to grow a skilled workforce.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
• 3+ years of HR and recruiting experience
• Hands-on full-cycle recruiting with direct sourcing
• Experience hiring hourly production, skilled trades, and engineering roles
• Knowledge of I-9, wage and hour basics
• ADP/HRIS experience
• ATS and job boards experience (Indeed/LinkedIn)
• Manufacturing environment experience

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for production, engineering, and operations
• Create and post job openings across boards and local channels
• Source candidates and build high-volume production pipelines
• Conduct phone screens and present qualified shortlists to hiring managers
• Coordinate interviews using structured guides for fair decisions
• Manage background checks, references, offers, and pre-employment requirements
• Track requisitions, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness; report progress
• Build relationships with local technical schools and workforce agencies
• Administer the employee referral program
• Oversee onboarding through day 90
• Handle I-9, new-hire paperwork, and payroll in ADP
• Support multi-state payroll registrations and benefits enrollment
• Maintain HRIS records and confidentiality
• Assist with wage/hour compliance and payroll processes
• Update employee handbook and policies
• Coordinate OSHA and safety training documentation
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Provide fractional onsite HR presence
• Document repeatable HR processes
• Complete additional HR-related duties and special projects
