Job summary

Vaco in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an HR Generalist for a 12-month contract to support HR operations, HRIS/Workday administration, and performance management. The role offers a hybrid work model with approximately six onsite days per month.

During the first six months you will train with an HR Business Partner and then transition to supporting another partner, growing independence. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and v-lookups.
• 1–3 years' hands-on HR experience, ideally in an HR Generalist role.
• Experience with HRIS; Workday experience highly preferred.
• General knowledge of employee relations and performance-management practices.

Responsibilities

• HRIS / Workday administration: maintain accurate employee information and support HR processes.
• Review, update, and clean up job titles and profiles; audit employee data.
• Process manager changes, employee transfers, and org updates; maintain HR documentation.
• Assist with HR-related processes for employees relocating between states; payroll capabilities across states.
• Support managers with routine employee-relations matters and with performance documentation.
